Which studies are for you - Law in business

We offer courses finishing with a B.A., a B.S., or an M.A. degree. We enable you to obtain a European diploma, which is recognized in Western Europe. Our diploma will open the doors to the development of your own career, as well as professional and social promotion.

Recruitment

Admission to I-degree courses is granted to candidates who have submitted:

  1. an application
  2. a certificate entitling one to enrol on university courses at each type of higher schools in the country where it was issued:
    1. the original certificate with an apostil or its duplicate confirmed by the Consul of the Republic of Poland holding office in the country where the certificate was issued,
    2. a sworn translation of the certificate,
    3. document confirming recognition of the certificate (issued by the School Superintendent in Warsaw),
      if the certificate does not include any annotation that its holder is entitled to study at each type of schools, a confirmation of this fact issued by the Consul of the RP,
  3. a photograph taken without a hat or sunglasses in left half-profile with the left ear visible:
    1. 35 x 45 mm – 2 pieces
    2. in  digital form, as a JPG file, resolution 236 x 295 pixels, recorded on a CD.
  4. a doctor's certificate stating the lack of contraindications to study in any given faculty, for a specified period of time, issued by a doctor authorized to conduct periodic examinations (issued in Poland),
  5. a special-needs certificate in the case of special-needs candidates (issued by the country of origin, translated by a sworn translator and confirmed by a doctor in Poland),
  6. a certificate confirming the command of English – one from the list in -
  7. a photocopy of the passport, made and confirmed by a University employee,
  8. a photocopy of the visa or residence card, made and confirmed by a University employee,
  9. a photocopy of an illness or accident insurance policy, taken out for the period of studies in Poland, a European Health Insurance Card, or a statement on joining the National Health Fund – made and confirmed by a University employee,
  10. an agreement on the conditions of university courses at PWUC in Płock.

In order to obtain recognition of a secondary school diploma:

  1. The application for recognition to the Board of Education, along with a statement that the submitted certificate has not been subject to prior recognition proceedings in Poland
  2. Authorization issued by the certificate holder

Candidates who do not hold certificates confirming their command of English prior to their studies must attend a course in English, which lasts one or two terms and on completion of this course, must pass TELC B2 examination.

Administration

Graduates acquire necessary knowledge in the field of political systems, administrative competences, and financial policy. We train specialists who are well-acquainted with the knowledge of judiciary, economic and managerial sciences. The subjects related to EU law and European institutions constitute an important element of studying in the faculty of Administration.

Graduates learn the mechanisms for establishing and interpreting legal regulations. They acquire knowledge which is needed for analyzing basic economic phenomena. As well as social and economic processes, they become acquainted with issues related to administration, law, finance and business. They are able to use their knowledge of inter-personal relationships and communication, as well as negotiation techniques, in practice.

Administration graduates are specialists trained using modern methods, they are aware of European Union realities and legislation, they are also able to operate IT systems efficiently, cooperate with customers and the media.

National security

Graduates acquire knowledge and skills necessary to perform administrative tasks connected with security and crisis management. They are prepared for work and service in institutions and units responsible for the internal and external security of a country. The syllabus of this course comprises subjects related to international security. Graduates are made aware of issues connected with political systems and crisis management.

The course's syllabus also includes subjects such as: the protection of classified information, information protected by law, diplomacy and foreign service, as well as civics.

Informatics

A diploma in Informatics represents a modern and comprehensive education in the field of information technology, paying particular attention to practical classes and learning a foreign language.
The course includes the following subjects: the administration of computer networks, databases, programming, operations research, or multimedia.

Graduates in Informatics are:

  • specialists in the field of implementation, development and maintenance of IT systems,
  • people who are able to design and manage networks as well as computer resources,
  • specialists in the field of applying modern programming methods

and in the field of developing modern automatic control systems, drive systems based on microprocessors, electronic programmable circuits as well as using IT resources and technologies.

Students can study in modern computer labs, equipped in compliance with current development trends, security standards and principles of ergonomics. A diploma in Informatics represents a modern and comprehensive education in the field of information technology, paying particular attention to practical classes and learning a foreign language.
The course includes the following subjects: the administration of computer networks, databases, programming, operations research, or multimedia.

Pedagogy

Graduates become acquainted with issues related to philosophy, pedagogy, psychology, sociology and didactics. Foreign languages and the essentials of information technology play an important role in this course.
Classes in management of education are also conducted within this course.

Graduates acquire general knowledge of pedagogy, sociology and psychology, which is necessary for understanding the socio-cultural context of education or care-providing activities. Studies in the faculty of Pedagogy form the basis for genuine professional training.

This course prepares one for work at schools, pre-schools and other educational institutions. Graduates can find employment in, amongst others, specialist counseling centers or educational institutions.

Law in business

Study LAW in BUSINESS at a university with prospects.

Business law is a practical field of study combining legal elements of running a business and managerial competences. The study program was developed with the active participation of external partners.

By studying Law in Business, you will gain thorough and practical knowledge necessary to conduct matters at the intersection of law and business. The graduate will be prepared to work in various types of companies and institutions, as well as to start their own business. Will be able to operate in various conditions.

Law in business differs from law studies understood in a "traditional" way. The skills and competences acquired during studies provide broad prospects for running and providing legal services to business entities. The acquired interdisciplinary knowledge combines aspects and legal regulations of running a business and the functioning of enterprises.

You will learn to solve business problems using legal knowledge and acquired competences. You will be educated under the supervision of experts and professionals, lawyers who practice every day in the largest and most reputable companies. Studying Law in Business will enable you to gain a prestigious and valued profession.

A graduate of Law in Business will acquire competences enabling employment in legal, legal, administrative, organizational, HR and accounting departments.

 

Management

Graduates are provided with knowledge and skills which are necessary for working in managerial positions with economic, commercial and financial organizations, manufacturing enterprises, as well as running their own businesses.
The syllabus of this course includes economics, quantitative study, accounting, law, theory and the methods of modern management of various aspects of European integration. Classes in foreign languages and information technology also play an important role in this course. The teaching program also includes the following issues: financial analysis, environmental protection, business plans, the simulation of marketing strategies, job-seeking techniques and the like.

Graduates receive indispensable knowledge within the scope of management, economics and complementary disciplines as well as specialist knowledge of various fields, allowing them to apply it to their professional work and private lives. They learn to recognize, diagnose and solve problems related to the management of human and financial resources, tangible and information assets, also problems related to the implementation of functions, processes and actions in enterprises and various institutions.

Postgraduate courses

The University conducts postgraduate courses. They are aimed at the graduates of higher schools. After graduation from postgraduate courses, students can obtain diplomas complying with the regulation of the Minister of National Education and the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy, Journal of Laws no. 103, item 472 of 12.10.1993.

Pawel Wlodkowic University College in Płock conducts postgraduate courses in various fields, meeting the actual needs of people who wish to enrol in these types of courses.
Postgraduate courses are organized by the Institute of Postgraduate Education. Each year, the Institute trains the largest number of students on a national scale.
